Ask yourself, “what do I need right now?” Find a quiet space, close your eyes, and let the answer come to you. Resist the urge to overthink; it will likely be the first thing that pops into your head. The answer might be something as simple as a bite to eat, or something more complex such as self-expression.

Having something fun to look forward to can also be a great motivator for finishing a big project that’s being stalled with some perfectionistic nit-picking.

Cut Tasks Weighing You Down
Do you suffer from the weight of taking on too much because there’s a voice in your head telling you that it’s what you need to do in order to be successful? This is a common issue that fast-tracks us to burnout. Instead of filling your to-do list with things that you think you “have to” do, try filling it instead with things that you want to do. We tell ourselves we have to do every single thing under the sun, but the truth is that we end up moving forward a lot faster if we just focus on the things that we are good at and enjoy. Are there some tedious tasks that actually aren’t all that necessary - or that you can outsource or re-work to make them easier? Get creative with your obligations and tasks, and tune into the feeling of lightness and joy that will inevitably follow!
